Stage Left Theatre Company Proudly Presents:
OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS
By Joe DePietro
“A hilarious family comedy that is even funnier than his long-running musical revue : I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.”–Backstage
Nick is a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to Florida. That doesn’t mean his family isn’t still in Jersey! In fact, Nick sees both sets of his (annoying) grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he has been offered his dream job – marketing executive with his NYC Company that wants to send him to the West Coast Office in Seattle! The news doesn’t sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. How could he betray his family’s love to move to Seattle for a job, wonder grandparents Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma. Their schemes include inviting to dinner the lovely – and single – Caitlin O’Hare as bait….and you have to come see the play to find out the ending!
Directed by Jan Justis and featuring: Samar Fay, Marty Rush, Sally Kriebel, Randy Herrick-Stare, Paul DeCock and Cat Hindman
