Reserve the weekend of May 5-7 for "We Are the Song!" by The Noteables and You've Got Male, presented by Salida Sings and directed by Linda Taylor. Join us in celebrating the healing power of music. The concert will be guaranteed to lift your spirits, make you laugh and bring joy to your hearts.
“We Are the Song”, written by local award-winning singer/songwriter, Mark Rostenko of Cotopaxi, and arranged for three vocal parts by the director, will be a highlight of the concert.
The program also includes Paul Simon’s “Love Me Like A Rock”, Broadway’s “Forty-Second Street” with tap dancers, Jan Justis and Tudi Pesch, “The Voice” by Celtic Woman, Fats Waller’s “Ain’t Misbehavin’” and the hilarious “The Pirate’s Life.” “The Silence and the Song”, “Heading Home”, "We Can Plant A Forest" and “Come In From the Firefly Darkness” present a tapestry of Nature’s music that unites us in harmony and peace. "Let All Nations Sing" and "Rhythms of One World" celebrate the universality of music and will get you dancing in your seats.
Some of the songs will feature electric bass, trumpet and piccolo. Drummer extraordinaire, Kurt Wipperfurth, will be back for his fifth season.
