9th Annual Asia Fest Celebration
Saturday October 18th, 2025
FILIPINO MODERN is going to be a special day with some exciting speakers and cultural presentations including:
—muralist Gene Pendon of Montreal
—a fashion show with Filipina stylist Shiela DeForest of Amihan Artisans from Denver
—Julius Garrido, award-winning photographer and collaborator with Denver's LGBTQ community
—a Kamayan Dinner catered by Chef Katie Fisco of Baon Supper Club from Colorado Springs
—music and dancing by Austin's DJ Jester the Filipino Fist with Money Mark (aka the 4th Beastie Boy) from LA.
—participation by local artists Krista Jarvis, Lindsey Scot Ernst, Brynn Ronning Sandoval, Sarah Zhang, and others
Details: The 18th of October, 2025, Saturday, Salida Steamplant: free activities for the community during the day, ticketed program for adults in the evening.

Crafting, Sewing and Leatherwork at A Church
Every Friday from 9-1pm
We have some ideas for crafts on hand or if you have a project you need to finish bring it out. Lunch is provided by Pizza Rio!
