Salida Council for the Arts will award scholarships up to two outstanding, college-bound Salida-area students in the amount of $1,000 each or $2,000 in the event of there being only one qualified applicant.  Those who are eligible are students attending Salida High School, as well as students in non-traditional programs or home-schooled students who plan to pursue studies in a creative discipline as a full-time student at an accredited college or institution. Creative disciplines may include, but are not limited to: Architecture, Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, Writing, Communication, Performing Arts, and Culinary Arts.

  

Scholarship recipients must provide official documentation showing enrollment in an accredited college or institution to SCFTA before funds will be awarded.  A copy should be sent to salidacouncilforthearts@gmail.com.

6. Final Step: Provide samples of your work.
All applicants must provide a link to or submit a PDF showing 2-3 samples of your work in your field of interest to be considered.

You can use social media, YouTube or your own website, providing a link. Please make sure if you are using a link it is not password protected. 

If you're applying as a Performing Artist, please limit your submission to a 1-2 minute audition piece.

If you're applying for a writing or communications discipline, please provide writing samples.
