Salida Creativity Lab presents the 4th annual Lunar New Year: Asia Fest 2020, a festival that celebrates Asian culture! Make a dragon, enter the art show, join the parade!

ASIAN FUSION LOUNGE DISCO PARTYCelebrate Lunar New Year with a trip to SouthEast Asia! Step into the swankiest Asian fusion lounge this side of the Arkansas with dress-up, food, entertainment, dj and dancing! A tropical jungle and Southeast Asian menu by Little Cambodia awaits with heavy tastings of roast pig (Filipino lechon), pineapple fried rice, fresh salads, and sumptuous, lucky noodles! Performance by Colorado Asian Heritage and Cultural Association Dragon and Lion Association. Then dance, dance, dance the night away with DJ and friends on your deserted island! Swanky cocktail attire encouraged. Let Asia-Pacific inspire you such as a Chinese silk cocktail dress, tropical shirt and fedora, sarong, flowers in your hair. Prizes for the Swankiest. Cash bar. STUDENT ART SHOW at Fun Street Arcade! Students K-12 can enter the art show and win prizes! All work will be displayed. Make a piece of art with an Asian theme, turn it into the Arcade by January 31st. Judging and viewing February 3rd-9th. Prizes for different age groups. FREE DRAGON-MAKING WORKSHOPS at the Box of Bubbles for the community. Get your dragon team together and come make a dragon for the parade! January 29th, 31st, and February 7th 6:00PM-7:30PM.

DRAGON PARADE! Saturday, February 8th. Join or watch the parade! Meet at Alpine Park at 2:00PM; Parade leaves ~2:15PM, and travels to Riverside Park. Art Show awards announced, and a very special performance by Colorado Asian Cultural Heritage Center Dragon & Lion Dance Association from Denver! Riverside Park. Free!
