The Salida Council for the Arts invites all Salida artists and creatives to apply for the 2021 Community Grants. Grants of up to $500 each are open to applicants seeking funding for local arts and cultural based projects. The 2021 grant application cycle is from May 15 to June 26. Selections will be made by July 15, and projects should be completed within the calendar year.
Applicants may be individuals or organizations. Residency in Salida is not required, but the project must have a definable connection to the Salida community and be supportive of the Council’s Mission
Statement.
Our mission is to enrich the cultural life of our community by nurturing and supporting excellence in the arts; to increase the community’s awareness of and appreciation for the arts; to promote and encourage arts education; and to serve as a liaison between the arts, business, government and educational institutions.
These grants are for a specic creative project not for an artist’s or arts organization’s operating budget.
Use your imagination to create a project that will inspire, edify, and/or entertain the Salida community.
