“Just Say Gay!”
Just Say Gay! is the theme of this year’s gathering of the LGBTTSQIA+ community, allies & families. This year’s Ark Valley Pride Planning Committee would like to invite you to the best Pride yet, with new features like an afternoon Pride Parade and evening events, as well as a Sunday morning drag brunch-nic! - all in Riverside Park! June 3rd Pride Kick-Off 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Bring your own dinner, evening snack, and drinks, and hang out in the Riverside Park for the 2022 Ark Valley Pride Kick-Off. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and cushions! We’ll do our best to have some available if you don’t have one. It’s the summer of 1984, Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mineworkers is on strike, prompting a London-based group of gay and lesbian activists to raise money to support the strikers’ families. Initially rebuffed by the Union, the group identifies a tiny mining village in Wales and sets off to make their donation in person.
